The world championship under ther moto of “Kokand and Sport”

The first world championship on Belbogli Kurash among boys and girls born in 2005-2006 hold in ancient “Orda” square in the Park of Culture in the city of Kokand, Fergana under the moto “Kokand and Sport” for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

About 200 top wrestlers from 20 countries, including Russia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, Georgia, India, Moldova, Romania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the World Cup.

The boys competed on weight categories: - 42, - 45, - 50, - 55, - 60, - 65, - 71, - 77, - 85, - 95, + 95 kg. and girls on: - 44, - 48, - 52, - 57, -63, - 70, +70 kg. for the victory.

 According to the rules of the competition, the qualifying round held in the first half of the day, while in the second half of the day the semifinals and finals were determined.

The opening ceremony of the championship was also held as part of the championship.

President of the World Belbogli Kurash Association Azizbek Abdihalilovich Ganiev took part in the opening ceremony and wished good luck to the wrestlers. The opening ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aslanov, Deputy Governor of Fergana region Khurshid Ahmedov, President of the Asian Belbogli Kurash Confederation Muminkhoja Muratov, Chairman of the Belbogli Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Ravshan Dastirov and others. Sports delegates from abroad were presented with valuable souvenirs by the hosts. At the end of the World Cup, the winning athletes were solemnly awarded. Athletes who won first place in each weight category were awarded 5 million soums, athletes who took second place - 3 million soums, two third-place wrestlers - 2 million soums, as well as diplomas and medals.
